This has to be the place! It looks like a piece of collie heaven! The cold, winter December day could not dampen our excitement as we turned into the driveway. Carolyn greeted us warmly and was soon introducing us to the collies that were currently part of her rescue program. It was obvious that she not only was very knowledgeable about the breed in general, but had a vested interest in each of the dogs she had in her care.

We are so appreciative of the professional and loving care that Carolyn offers to the beautiful animals that are in her care… as well as her dedication to helping match animals and families to one another so that there is mutual joy and benefit. I shudder to think of what would have happened to most of the dogs that are now secure in forever homes, had Carolyn, and those who provide rescue service to the other breeds, were not so passionate in their service. Thanks Carolyn! We will al ways be grateful to you.

The Flacy Family

Carolyn,
Thank you so much for the opportunity of getting to know you as a person. The blessing of allowing us to adopt Dusty and Lucky have meant the world to us. Your organization, you, have done so much for our family as well as so many others and the community.

Dusty is so loving and people oriented while Lucky is
a fun-loving, sweet, playful puppy that loves Lacey.
Our home seemed so quiet and lonely before you gave us the gift of adopting Dusty and Lucky!!!

Our Sincere Thanks,
Ken and Susie H.

We have been blessed to adopt two Collies from Carolyn and DFW Collie Rescue. We luckily heard about Carolyn and proceeded to adopt Daisy. Daisy was instantly at home and quickly became the talk of the town as she pranced on her walks. Two years later we met Lucy who was waiting patiently to be adopted. It just took one look at her for all of us to know she was meant to be a part of our family also. Lucy and Daisy are now inseparable. Not only have we doubled the Collie fur in our house, but we have doubled the love!

There are not words enough to thank Carolyn for the wonderful work she does. Not only does she save these precious creatures from horrors we don’t want to imagine, but she gives families such as ours an opportunity to love and be loved by our magnificent Collies. Carolyn, congratulations on your retirement!

Dear Carolyn,

Midnight grows sweeter every day and our friendship blossoms. We are now best buds and lifelong companions, how could I ask God for more or thank you enough. At the park, he comes bounding with a “happy run” when I call him, we don’t even need the leash. I firmly believe you are a gift from God to collies, I thank God for this.

Dear Carolyn,

I have a great family, with 3 children and a wonderful husband and absolutely the BEST dogs in the world!  I may be a bit biased.  I also have a fantastic person in my life named Carolyn Edgmon.  Some of you may know her because her most generous and loving work is far reaching into close and far towns and homes.  Wow! What an amazing program our Ms. Carolyn oversees.

We have had the privilege of adopting 3 Collies from Carolyn’s DFW Collie Rescue Group: One sable and white very large, senior aged collie named Jackson, one large young tri-color, collie named Shelby, one sable and white, small/medium young collie named Sophie. We also have a VERY large 4-year collie (tri-colored) Tucker who we also love very much!

We can only thank Carolyn for making such perfect matches for my family with her dear adopted collies.  Getting to know Carolyn has been another blessing.  She is an angel, doing an angel's job. Well-done Carolyn!

Dear Carolyn:

Cameron is doing really well, he seems to have adapted to our home. Rachel spoils him and constantly wants to hug him or throw the ball in the back yard. He still sleeps in a large comfortable crate at night, but does enjoy naps on the couch on the weekend, as you can see.

Everyday my little girl asks me, "Mommy, ask me what I like about my dog?" The answer is always the same. She likes everything! Since adopting Sampson from DFW Collie Rescue about nine months ago our lives have never been the same.

Sampson is the first dog that we have ever owned. We were so cautious about selecting the right dog for our family. I had the feeling that if this didn't go well we probably would never get another. Little did we know that we would completely bond with him so quickly.

Our expectations have been far exceeded. He seems to have an on/off switch. When he is outside he is playful and rugged. When indoors he watches his manners and stays by our sides when we are sick and protects us from the squirrels and the sprinkler system. He even gets along wonderfully with our cat Jack. I am not sure that Jack enjoys his company as much. Each one of us love him dearly. I only wish that we could have dozens more just like him!
